Sakan

Sakan is the fifth of the 12 traditional Seitei Jodo forms. It is learned and demonstrated as part of Staff II – Intermediate Staff. It must be demonstrated with six snaps:

1. Stance of overhead jo
2. Jo near vertical with deflect
3. Jo near hidari hasso-no-kamae
4. Cover the eyes after striking
5. Hikiotoshi-no-kamae
6. Cover the eyes after striking
